Green Point Campground, British Columbia, Canada
Let the waves of the Pacific crashing against the shore send you to sleep in your tent at the Green Point Campground in British Colombia. The site is situated on a shelf above Long Beach, the largest and longest beach in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, situated on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Take a walk along the beach, head into the waves if you’re feeling brave or perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to spot one of the Grey whales that tend to spend their summers off the shore.
The Dune Field, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado
According to Backpacker.com if you choose to pitch your tent at The Dune Field, then you’ll have chosen one of the top ten camping spots in the whole of the United States. You’ll find yourself within 30-square-mile mass of dunes, with the Sangre de Cristo Mountains acting as a breathtaking backdrop. While there are no official campsites within the dune field, you can be assured of the experience of a lifetime nonetheless.

The Wilderness National Park covers an area of 2,500 Ha and is home to five rivers, as many lakes, two estuaries and 18 km of coastline that has to be regarded as some of the most beautiful to be found anywhere in the world.
